Testing and Learning About Adobe Connect Pro

Introduction

Audio and video from course presentations will be available live using Adobe Connect Pro, which is based on the widely available Adobe Flash Player technology, and claims support for Windows, Mac OS, Linux, Solaris, and several mobile platforms (iPhone.iPad, Android). You should be able to direct questions to the presenter via Connect Pro, which will be relayed by the Course Director.

NOTE: contrary to information initially provided here, Adobe Connect is also being employed to provide delayed on-demand streaming video. If you have a sufficiently fast Internet connection, you may select the links appearing in the list below (links will generally appear within a day of the original lecture). If delayed viewing by means of Adobe Connect does not work for you, you may download and view the podcast files that will be made avaiable within several days of each lecture.

Advance Testing and Setup

It is important to test your connection in advance of the intended time of use, to ensure that this mechanism works for you. Visit the test site provided by the FDA. This test site will perform several helpful tasks:

You may then complete testing by selecting one of the links below, for delayed on-demand viewing of lectures (if any such linke are yet available).

The course staff is very small, and will not be able to provide computer support for students: please consult a knowledgeable local colleague for assistance.
